Asbestos cardboard KAON 3mm is a material made of chrysotile asbestos and starch, the latter acts as a binder. Chrysotile asbestos, belongs to the class of hydrosilicates, it is easily split into fibers, which in appearance resemble crystals of a roll or tubular structure.

As for the ultimate transverse tensile strength, here at KAON-1 it starts at 0.6 MPa, and at KAON-2 - at 0.9 MPa.

The permissible percentage of moisture in asbestos board of the KAON-1 brand is a maximum of seven percent, and in KAON-2 - a maximum of ten percent;

The permissible shrinkage of the mass of the material during the calcination process for both types of asbestos-containing cardboard is a maximum of fifteen percent.
