Decorative forged strip "Bark" 30x4x2000 mm rolled metal element widely used in architectural decoration and artistic forging. It is typically made from low-carbon steel, which ensures ease of processing and good ductility. During production, the heated strip is processed with a forging tool or passed through special rollers, creating a characteristic texture with notches and irregularities that mimic hand forging. This strip combines a distinctive appearance and strength, making it popular in the manufacture of grilles, gates, furniture, fences, railings, and interior elements. It is easily painted, bent, and welded, allowing for the creation of both modern and classic decorative solutions.

First, a steel strip is placed in a forge and heated to forging temperature—approximately 900–1200°C, depending on the steel grade. The heated strip is rolled through special calibration rollers or processed with hammers and dies. This creates characteristic irregularities, notches, and "waves," simulating hand-forged work or ornamentation. The blank is leveled, adjusted to the desired width and thickness, and, if necessary, bends, twists, or relief elements are added. The strip is cooled in air or under controlled conditions to relieve internal stress. Burrs and uneven surfaces are removed, and the edges may be slightly rounded for aesthetics and safety. The finished product is cleaned (shot blasted or brushed), then primed, painted, patinaed, or powder coated to protect against corrosion and add a decorative effect.

Chemical composition

Carbon, alloy, and stainless steels are most commonly used. Carbon steels typically contain 0.15–0.60% carbon, 0.3–0.8% manganese, and up to 0.35% silicon. Alloy steels additionally contain chromium (up to 2%), nickel (up to 3%), molybdenum, vanadium, or other elements that increase strength, corrosion, and thermal resistance. They contain at least 12% chromium, as well as nickel and molybdenum, which ensure corrosion resistance.
