The main purpose of a steel tee is the branching of one pipeline channel into two channels or the collection of several channels into one. It is intended for fastening lateral pipe branches to the main highway (at the same time, the medium changes its direction at an angle of 90°). Welded tees are used for the construction of industrial pipelines and pipeline systems of thermal power plants and oil pipelines. A galvanized tee is a part with the help of which parts of the pipeline are fastened to change the flow direction. Tees made of steel with a zinc coating are widely used in many types of pipeline systems for technical and industrial purposes, but they are not used in drinking water supply. In systems of technically purified hot and cold water, the use is permitted.
