Steel sheet (card) st.20G 120х350х710 mm is a flat rolled material made from alloy or carbon steel. Sheets are hot-rolled and cold-rolled: the former have a greater thickness and a rough surface, the latter have more precise dimensions and are smooth. They are used for roofing, cladding, creating hulls, and structural elements. The sheets are resistant to damage. They can have different coatings to increase corrosion resistance, such as polymer or zinc.

First, the raw materials (iron, scrap metal, alloying elements) are melted in converters or electric arc furnaces. The chemical composition (carbon, manganese, silicon, alloying elements) is adjusted to achieve the desired mechanical properties. The molten steel is poured into crystallizers to produce slabs (flat blanks). The slabs are heated to 1100–1250°C and rolled on a mill, producing sheets of the specified thickness. This stage determines the metal's structure and main dimensions. The sheets can be normalized, quenched, and tempered to improve strength, ductility, and impact toughness. The finished sheet is straightened, cut to size, and marked according to standards.

Main elements: Iron (Fe) – base, ~97–99%, Carbon (C) – 0.08–0.25%, Manganese (Mn) – 0.3–1.6%, Silicon (Si) – 0.1–0.6%.
