Steel strip 09G2S  30х560х1420 mm is a rectangular rolled metal product made of alloy or carbon steel. It is used in metal construction, mechanical engineering, construction and other industries. The strip is necessary for the production of metal frames, stair railings, supports, and also as a blank for bending and stamping parts. It is produced by cold-rolled and hot-rolled methods, which affects its strength characteristics. The strip has high resistance to loads, durability and is easy to process.

Hot-rolled steel strip is produced from blanks (slabs or blooms) by rolling at high temperatures. The main steps are as follows: the steel is produced in a converter or electric furnace, then cast into slabs. The slabs are placed in a furnace and heated to approximately 1100–1250°C to make the metal ductile. The heated blank is passed through rollers, reducing its thickness and stretching it into a long strip. The metal passes through several mill stands to achieve the desired strip thickness and width. The strip is cooled on roller tables (sometimes with water cooling), shaping the steel's structure. The material is cut into strips of the required length or wound into rolls, then straightened and quality controlled.

Main elements: Iron (Fe) - base, about 97-99%, Carbon (C) - ~0.05-0.30%, Manganese (Mn) - 0.30-1.50%, Silicon (Si) - 0.05-0.35%.

Strip steel is used in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry, in the manufacture of springs and embedded parts - a metal strip made from structural and spring steel grades is used. Steel strip is considered an essential material for furniture production. It can be used for forging metals. The main advantage of strip steel, which determines its widespread use, is the ability to be used as a semi-finished product and even a finished structural element. It requires minimal technological and labor costs for processing and makes it possible to create structures and metal products of varying complexity.

European Standards (EN):

GOST Standards:

GOST 380 — Carbon Steel of Ordinary Quality.  Includes steel grades such as St5, St3, St2, St1, and St0. The standard establishes the degree of deoxidation, mechanical properties, quality categories, chemical composition, and steel grades;

GOST 535 — Rolled shapes and sections made of carbon steel. This standard establishes packaging and transportation, marking, testing methods, chemical composition, mechanical properties, and technical requirements;

GOST 1577 — Hot-rolled universal wide strip. This standard regulates the production of universal wide strip products with high geometric accuracy;

GOST 19281 — Low-alloy rolled steel. For steel grades 15KhSND, 10KhSND, and 09G2S, this standard defines requirements for high-strength rolled products, weldability, impact toughness, mechanical properties, and steel grades;

GOST 103 — Hot-rolled steel strip assortment.  Regulates: rolling accuracy, mass, curvature, length, tolerances, thickness, and width of the strip.

ISO 4995 — Hot-rolled strip made of structural steel. This standard regulates: coiled products, strip, sheet, and hot-rolled structural steels;

ISO 1035 — Hot-rolled rolled products. This standard regulates: edge condition, profile geometry, straightness, curvature, dimensional tolerances, length, thickness, and width.
