Seamless stainless steel pipe for the production of pipelines in the food and energy industries

Medical research conducted over the past decades has revealed the mechanisms underlying the onset and development of many acute and chronic diseases. Many of these diseases were found to be caused not by biological factors related to heredity or environmental conditions, but by the effects of substances and microorganisms on the tissues of individual organs and the regulatory systems of ongoing biochemical processes. As a result, in accordance with the requirements of the ministries of health of many countries, significant changes were made to regulations standardizing the composition of finished products at food production facilities, as well as to the equipment used to process raw materials.

The purpose of these regulatory amendments was to prevent the entry of recently discovered substances harmful to human health into food, not only those present in the raw ingredients, but also those formed during chemical reactions between them and equipment components. For this reason, this technology has become highly sought after in the food industry seamless stainless steel pipe, which allows maintaining the purity of the final product from toxins at a level that meets all requirements.

To successfully solve the assigned tasks, it possesses all the necessary properties, the most important of which turned out to be:

  1. The material's chemical inertness is achieved through the use of high-quality raw materials, free of even traces of toxic compounds. The addition of a significant amount of chromium during the steel smelting process results in the formation of a thin, dense chromium oxide film on the surface of the finished product, protecting the metal from oxidation. This oxide film does not react with acids, alkalis, or organic molecules.
  2. The higher the nickel content in an alloy, the greater its heat resistance, so its content is increased to expand the permissible operating temperature range. This is of greater importance not for the equipment directly used for processing products, but for boiler systems that generate sufficient steam for technological processes with minimal fuel consumption.
  3. The addition of small amounts of copper, manganese, titanium, and other metals during melting significantly improves the anti-corrosion and mechanical properties of seamless stainless steel pipes, allowing them to operate reliably in challenging conditions over long periods of time.

When there are no increased requirements for the strength of a solid-drawn wall, it can be successfully used round welded stainless steel pipe, which is somewhat less expensive and resistant to tangential ruptures under excess pressure from the working fluid circulating within it. It is also currently frequently used to manufacture items for public spaces, such as fences, railings, and turnstiles.

Analogues of seamless stainless steel pipes for the assembly of metal structures

Stainless steel rolled products have numerous applications where the chemical composition of the raw materials used for their manufacture is not overly demanding. Reducing the amount of expensive alloying additives used allows for lower prices for metallurgical products while maintaining the resulting materials' ability to effectively solve a wide range of practical problems. This can be clearly demonstrated by examples of similar products to those described here, which deserve a separate discussion.

Flat oval stainless steel pipe

To arrange playgrounds for sports and games with children in the courtyards of city blocks, at the moment flat oval stainless steel pipe, ensuring the structures maintain a beautiful appearance for decades without the need for additional weather protection measures, such as tedious and costly regular painting, rust removal, or galvanizing. The absence of sharp corners reduces the risk of injury, which is especially important when using exercise equipment, sports equipment, and swings.

Welded stainless steel profile pipe

Nowadays, in the production of commercial equipment it is often used welded stainless steel profile pipe, which allows for a system of flat, lattice-like surfaces placed one above the other for storing perishable products, such as beef, pork or poultry, for freezing in storage or display cases.
