Ceramic Fiber Paper LYTX-236B 3х1220х20000 mm is a flexible, lightweight, and heat-resistant material made from ultra-fine aluminosilicate fibers. It is chemically inert, resistant to temperature fluctuations, and has low thermal conductivity. Due to its high strength and low thickness, this paper is used as thermal insulation in metallurgical equipment, boilers, furnaces, and in ceramic and glass production. It is also used as a protective layer in high-temperature systems, electrical insulation, sealing, and gasket material.

First, the raw materials—aluminum and silicon oxides—are melted at approximately 1800°C. The melt is drawn into fine fibers using blown or centrifuged methods. The fibers are crushed and mixed with water and a small amount of an organic binder to impart pliability. The slurry is fed to a paper machine screen. The water is drawn off, and the fibers are evenly distributed, forming a thin sheet. The web is compacted and then dried at a controlled temperature, removing residual moisture. For products designed for extreme temperatures, the organic binder is partially or completely burned off in an oven. The result is flexible, strong, and heat-resistant paper with a thickness ranging from fractions of a millimeter to several millimeters.
Chemical composition
The chemical composition of ceramic fiber paper is most often based on the aluminosilicate system. A typical composition is: SiO₂ (silicon dioxide) — 47–55% and Al₂O₃ (aluminum oxide) — 45–53%.
