Ceramic fiber summers LYTX - 208B1 2х30х30000 mm is heat-resistant insulating material is made from fine aluminosilicate fibers woven into a flexible woven tape. It combines high operating temperatures, low thermal conductivity, and good mechanical strength with low weight. The tape remains flexible even after prolonged heating, is resistant to most chemicals, and is non-toxic. Thanks to these properties, it is used for thermal insulation of flanges, pipelines, and furnaces, as protective wrapping for industrial equipment, and as a sealing material where stability at extremely high temperatures is required.

First, a mixture of clay, alumina, and silica is melted at approximately 1800°C. The melt is either blown with air or drawn into ultra-fine fibers. The fibers are collected, cleaned, and spun into threads. Reinforcing fiberglass threads or high-temperature-resistant threads are often added for strength. The resulting yarn is woven on looms into tape of the desired width—from narrow (10–20 mm) to wide (100 mm or more). Sometimes the tape is impregnated with a binder to increase durability or heat-set to stabilize its dimensions. The finished tapes are cut to standard lengths, wound into rolls, and packaged.

Chemical composition

The standard composition is: SiO₂ (silicon dioxide) - 45-55% and Al₂O₃ (aluminum oxide) - 42-52%.
