Tubes MKR 2,0х0,7х5х1000 mm are high-temperature products made from mullite-siliceous fiber and used in environments exposed to intense heat. They are lightweight, highly heat-resistant, and have low thermal conductivity, making them effective for equipment protection and thermal insulation. MKR tubes are essential in process units, flues, furnaces, systems, and heaters where insulation of heat-sensitive elements or pipelines is required. Due to their resistance to chemical inertness and thermal shock, they retain their properties and shape even at high temperatures and over long periods of operation.

Mullite-siliceous fiber is first produced by melting aluminosilicate raw material and blowing it into thin threads. The fiber is then purified and separated. Organic or inorganic binders (most commonly colloidal silica) are added to the fiber to help the material maintain its shape. The fiber mass is placed on a cylindrical mold or drawn through a special tool. The fibers are evenly distributed, creating a future tube of the desired diameter and thickness. The blank is compacted, removing excess water and creating strength. The tubes are slowly dried at a controlled temperature to prevent deformation and cracking. Additional firing is sometimes performed to stabilize the structure and remove organic matter.
Chemical composition
The chemical composition of MKR ceramic tubes is primarily based on mullite and silica, with minor additives for strength and heat resistance. It roughly looks like this: Al₂O₃ (aluminum oxide) – 60–70%, SiO₂ (silicon dioxide) – 30–40%, and trace impurities: Fe₂O₃, TiO₂, CaO, MgO – less than 1–2%.
Type by purpose
MKR tubes are widely used in almost all existing industries: from household refrigerators, electric and gas furnaces to powerful thermal apparatus in the energy sector, mechanical engineering and metallurgy. In particular, for thermal and mechanical protection of thermoelectrodes, thermocouples and heating elements, as well as as a basis for wire heaters in various types of electric resistance furnaces. In addition, ceramic tubes are an indispensable element in instruments for the analysis of alloys and metals (for example, when determining the presence of carbon and sulfur). Such insulators are used in various sectors of the economy. Production of electrothermal equipment. Heater spirals and thermocouples (temperature sensors) are placed in the tubular elements. Protection of covers intended for ignition electrodes. They are installed in gas industrial or household equipment. The basis for many wire heaters. Mechanical protection of heating elements, thermocouples, thermoelectrodes.
