Fireclay refractory brick SHA 23  230х114х65х45 mm is a specialized building material used for high-temperature applications. It is made from fireclay and other heat-resistant components, allowing it to withstand temperatures in excess of 1000°C without deterioration. This type of brick is widely used in the construction of fireplaces, chimneys, and furnaces, as well as in industrial and metallurgical applications. It is characterized by a long service life, resistance to sudden temperature changes, and high strength. Refractory brick ensures the safe operation of thermal structures and provides reliable thermal insulation.

The main thing
View by manufacturing method
Refractory bricks are made from special heat-resistant materials, most often fireclay. The process begins with the extraction and preparation of the raw materials: the clay is purified of impurities, crushed, and mixed with additives (such as fireclay—pre-fired and ground clay). The mixture is then moistened to the desired plasticity. The mass is then molded—by pressing or casting—to give the brick its precise shape. Afterward, the bricks are dried at a moderate temperature to remove moisture and prevent cracking. The key stage is firing in kilns at temperatures of approximately 1000–1400°C. During the firing process, the material gains strength, fire resistance, and resistance to temperature fluctuations. After cooling, the brick undergoes quality control and is ready for use.
Chemical composition
Fireclay brick has the following composition: aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) - approximately 28-45%, silicon dioxide (SiO₂) - about 50-65%, iron oxides (Fe₂O₃) - up to 2-3%, calcium oxides (CaO) and magnesium (MgO), alkali oxides (K₂O, Na₂O).
Type by purpose
The most common use is in stoves: they are used to build stoves, fireplaces, barbecues, and chimneys, as they withstand high temperatures and retain heat for a long time. In industry, refractory bricks are used in metallurgy for lining blast furnaces and smelting furnaces, as well as in foundries. They are essential in the glass and ceramic industries, where equipment operates at extreme temperatures. Furthermore, such bricks are used in the power industry for lining boilers and heating units. Thanks to their strength and heat resistance, they ensure safety, durability, and effective thermal insulation of structures.
