Shaped products MKRV of complex shape are made from materials using refractory fiber of mullite-silica composition, which is produced by melting aluminum and silicon oxides in an electric furnace, followed by fiber formation by blowing.

To give the material strength, inorganic and organic binders, refractory fillers and additives are added to the fibers. Products are molded by methods of evacuation, vacuum pressing, vibrocasting, stuffing and others.

Products of complex shape are made for long-term use in thermal insulation of equipment parts and for short-term use in casting metal melts according to individual technical requirements.

To give the material strength, inorganic and organic binders, fire-resistant fillers and additives are added to the fibers. Products are formed by vacuuming, vacuum pressing, vibration casting, stuffing and others. MKRV-340 inserts are made of refractory fiber of mullite-siliceous composition, which is produced by melting pure aluminum and silicon oxides in an electric furnace, followed by the formation of fiber by blowing. To give the material strength, an organic binder is added to the fibers, and the products are formed by vacuum pressing.
