Refractory cardboard mullite-silica MKRK-500 from refractory fiber is produced on the basis of mullite-silica fibers obtained by melting pure aluminum and silicon oxides in an electric furnace, followed by fiber formation by the blowing method. To give the cardboard the necessary properties, an organic or inorganic binder is added to the fibers, the products are made by vacuum pressing.

MKRK-500 cardboard is an effective insulating material that is easy to process, glued to inorganic glue. It is used as a heat-insulating and temperature-compensating material for the manufacture of refractory products of complex shapes - gaskets, diaphragms, screens.

When installing, take into account possible linear and volumetric shrinkage during heating.
