Felt refractory MKRCF-150 20х500х3500 mm is a thermal insulation material resistant to open flames and high temperatures. It is made from fibers of a mullite-siliceous composition, which is produced by melting pure aluminum and silicon oxides in an electric furnace, followed by the formation of fibers by blowing. To give the material strength and elasticity, an inorganic binder is added, followed by thermal strengthening of the material. Zirconium or chromium oxides are introduced into the fiber composition to increase the temperature at which the material is used.
