Expanded galvanized mesh 6.5x25x5 mm (1000x2000)–1 oz 08kp - is a solid metal product created by simultaneously drawing and punching sheet steel. Thanks to the galvanized coating, it is resistant to corrosion and durable, even outdoors. The cellular form provides strength with low weight. The mesh is in demand in construction, for ventilation, fencing, plaster reinforcement, ventilated facades, as well as in agriculture and industry. It is easy to install, cut and bend. It is produced in cards or rolls with different sheet thicknesses and cell sizes.

It is manufactured in two main stages: first, a punched-drawn structure is formed, then an anti-corrosion zinc coating is applied. Sheet steel is used as the starting material. During the punching process, symmetrically located cuts are made in the sheet on a special press. During the drawing process, the sheet is stretched simultaneously with the punching, forming a cellular diamond-shaped structure. After formation, the mesh is immersed in molten zinc or zinc is applied in an electrolytic bath.

Chemical composition

The chemical composition of the expanded galvanized mesh (PVS galvanized) is determined by the composition of the steel and zinc coating used. It is made of ordinary carbon structural steel (for example, St0, St1, St3), and then coated with zinc to protect against corrosion.
