Carbon or stainless steel is used for manufacturing. The steel sheet is cut into blanks of the required dimensions. It is important that the surface is smooth and free of scale, rust and dirt. Perforation is performed on presses with matrices and punches. After perforation, the sheet edges are processed to remove burrs. This can be grinding, milling or cleaning. If the sieve must have a shape (for example, be curved or cylindrical), it is additionally bent or formed. Depending on the strength and flexibility requirements, hardening or annealing can be performed.

Chemical composition

Galvanized screen is usually made of carbon steel coated with a layer of zinc by hot-dip galvanizing or galvanizing. The chemical composition of the screen depends on the type of steel used for its manufacture. The following types of steel are usually used: St3, St10, St20.

Type by purpose

The main function of the sieve is to sort, filter, sift or separate materials by particle size. In agriculture, it is used for: sifting grain, flour, seeds, cleaning agricultural products from debris and dust, use in grain dryers and grain cleaning machines. In the food industry, it is used for: filtering flour, sugar, salt and other bulk products, use in production lines for packaging and sorting.
