Copper powder PMS-14 - is a finely dispersed material consisting of particles of pure copper. It is used in the production of filters and antifriction alloys, powder metallurgy and electrical engineering. It is produced in various ways: chemical precipitation, electrolysis, atomization and reduction of copper oxides. Each method affects the size and shape of the particles, which determines the properties of the powder - compactability, density and fluidity. It has good corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. Due to its versatility, it is necessary in scientific research and industry.

The main thing
View by manufacturing method
Metal powders are obtained by the reduction of metals from their oxides or salts, electrolytic deposition, atomization of a jet of molten metal, thermal dissociation and mechanical crushing. The most common method is the recovery of metals (iron, copper or tungsten) from the corresponding oxides, followed by electrorefining.
Chemical composition
Powder consists of 99.5% copper. It may also contain small amounts of various impurities of other metals. Most often these are lead, tin and iron. In another way, this material is also called copper powder
Type by purpose
Copper powder is widely used: in the paint and varnish industry; in the chemical industry; in conventional metallurgy; in the electric coal industry; in microelectronics; in the automotive industry; in the aviation industry; in nanotechnology; in instrument making. In the manufacture of various types of paints, copper powder is used as a pigment. In the metallurgical industry it is used for sputtering processes. This material is also used in the production of carbon electrodes. In the automotive industry, metal powder is used, for example, in the manufacture of tires and anti-wear parts. In powder metallurgy, such material is used primarily for the production of various types of sintered products. This could be, for example, all kinds of rings, bushings, etc.
