Ferroniobium, FNb60

Ferroniobium, FNb60 is an alloying alloy of iron and niobium (about 60% Nb, the rest Fe and impurities). Ferroniobium is introduced into stainless chromium-nickel steels to prevent their intergranular corrosion and destruction, and into other types of steel to improve their properties. Introduced into structural steels, ferroniobium improves their weldability, prevents corrosion of the welded seam, and increases the strength and ductility of the steel. Niobium increases the ductility, corrosion resistance, strength and weldability of steel. Also, ferroniobium is widely used for the production of electrode coatings, in the steelmaking and foundry industries. Ferroniobium is supplied in lumps or in the form of crushed and sieved particles.
