Niobium sheet NBC-1 8,0 mm - is a thin metal material made from high-purity niobium. It has high refractoriness, corrosion resistance and excellent weldability. Due to its unique properties, niobium sheets are used in the production of superconductors, as well as in the chemical nuclear and electronic industries. They are produced according to strict purity standards and can be used in aggressive environments, including high temperatures and vacuum. They are also used in high-precision instruments and medical implants.

The simple substance niobium is a shiny silver-gray transition metal with a body-centered cubic crystal lattice.

First, the ore is processed using acids to extract niobium oxide. Then, pure metal is obtained from the niobium oxide by reduction. Pure niobium is further purified (for example, by electron beam melting) and cast into ingots. Niobium ingots are subjected to hot and cold rolling. After each rolling, annealing is carried out to relieve internal stress. This produces sheets of the desired thickness, usually from 0.1 to several millimeters.
