Solder POS-18 3,0 mm - is an alloy of metals used to connect metal parts by soldering. The main purpose of solder is to provide reliable mechanical and electrical contact. Depending on the area of use, they come in different compositions and melting points: silver, tin-lead and lead-free. Lead-free solders are in demand in electronics due to environmental requirements. The quality of soldering depends not only on the solder, but also on the correct flux and temperature. Using high-quality solder eliminates defects, increases the service life of devices and the reliability of connections.

View by manufacturing method
First, the metals are loaded into a smelting furnace, where they melt at a high temperature. It is important to maintain precise proportions to obtain a homogeneous alloy. The melt is then stirred to distribute the components evenly. At the same time, impurities and slag are removed to obtain a clean, high-quality solder. The molten solder is poured into molds or passed through special machines that form wire, rods, tapes or granules. The finished solder is cooled and cut to the desired dimensions. It is often additionally coated with flux or solder is made with flux inside (for example, in the form of a wire with a core).

Type by purpose
Used for wave soldering of printed circuit boards, resistant to electricity, which is suitable for copper wires. Due to its high fusibility, it is an ideal material for high temperature soldering. Pewter alloy is a very ductile material; it can be used to cast products that are replete with the smallest details. POS 30 solder is used in the cable industry, and is also used for tinning and soldering zinc sheets. LK 62-0.5 solder is used for soldering brass, copper, carbon steel, etc. It is often used in cases where there is a need for the production of various welded structures and products. The main area of use of the copper-phosphorus alloy PMFOTsr is soldering of copper and its various alloys (nickel silver, brass, bronze). POVI solder is used as a protective solder for various solder joints. It is in demand in radio electronics, because it is in this area that it is necessary to provide products with the required anti-corrosion and anti-friction characteristics, coupled with a simple and trouble-free soldering process
