Tantalum foil TVCH-1 0,02 mm - is a thin metal sheet made of high-purity tantalum. It has good corrosion resistance, especially in aggressive environments, as well as high temperature resistance - up to 3000 ° C in a vacuum. Due to this, the foil is in demand in medicine, electronics and the chemical industry. It is used for shielding, in the production of laboratory equipment, capacitors and surgical implants. It is well welded and cut without losing its properties.

First, tantalum powder is sintered in a vacuum or inert atmosphere at a temperature of > 2000°C. A tantalum ingot (or blank) is obtained. The ingot is forged or pressed to reduce thickness and increase density. Then it is rolled repeatedly - first hot, then cold. After each stage of deformation, tantalum is annealed in a vacuum or inert environment (usually at 1000–1200°C) to relieve stress and restore plasticity. Special precision rollers are used to obtain foil with a thickness of 0.01 mm and thinner. The finished foil is cleaned of process contaminants.
