Tantalum wire TVCh-1 0,45 mm is a high-purity semi-finished metal product made from tantalum, which is characterized by high melting point and corrosion resistance. Tantalum's melting point is 3000°C, making the wire resistant to high thermal loads. The material has stable electrical properties, good strength, and ductility. The wire is often used in instrument making, medicine, chemical engineering, electronics, and vacuum technology. It is used to create components operating in aggressive environments, heating elements, implants, and electrodes.

View by manufacturing method
First, tantalum oxide is obtained from tantalum-containing ores. It is then reduced to metallic tantalum, most often with sodium or carbon, producing a high-purity powder. The tantalum powder is pressed into blanks and sintered in vacuum or inert furnaces at very high temperatures. This results in the formation of a dense metal ingot. The ingot is forged, rolled, or drawn, gradually reducing its diameter. Between stages, annealing is performed to relieve internal stress and maintain the metal's ductility. The blank is repeatedly drawn through diamond dies, achieving the desired diameter—from fractions of a millimeter to microns. The finished wire is cleaned, annealed in a vacuum, and tested for strength, surface finish, and electrical properties.

Type by purpose
Tantalum wire is used in electronics and electrical engineering, for the production of tantalum capacitors, vacuum tubes, vacuum tubes, heating elements, and components operating at high temperatures. Tantalum wire is also used in medicine, for the production of surgical implants, sutures, electrodes, and medical instruments, as tantalum is biocompatible and does not cause rejection. Tantalum wire is also used in the chemical industry, for equipment exposed to aggressive environments such as acids, alkalis, and corrosive substances. It is also used in aerospace, for components operating at high temperatures and vacuums. It is also used in scientific research, for laboratory setups, thermocouples, and experimental devices.
