During the production process, the ore-bearing rock (cassiterite) is crushed to particle sizes on average ~10 mm in industrial mills, after which cassiterite, due to its relatively high density and mass, is separated from the waste rock by vibration-gravity method on processing tables. In addition, the flotation method of ore enrichment/purification is used. In this way, it is possible to increase the tin content in the ore to 40-70%. Next, the concentrate is roasted in oxygen to remove impurities of sulfur and arsenic. The resulting tin ore concentrate is smelted in furnaces. During the smelting process, it is reduced to a free state through the use of charcoal in the reduction, the layers of which are placed alternately with layers of ore, or aluminum (zinc) in electric furnaces. Particularly pure tin of semiconductor purity is prepared by electrochemical refining or the zone melting method

Tin rods are used for semiconductor technology, the production of canning tin, chemical reagents, for electrical products, for the production of babbitts, alloys, solders, tin powder, modified gray cast iron. Tin pigs, grade O1, are used for the production of solders and babbitts, alloys for printing and the manufacture of bearings, tinning of tin in the manufacture of food containers, as anodes in chemical power sources, and in batteries. Applications of tin powder: used in electric coal industry; used for the manufacture of food industry products; chemical industry; production of solder pastes; production of metal-ceramic products. The main areas of application of high-purity tin: processing and protection of underwater parts of sea and river vessels; textile industry, as a mordant in the production of cotton fabrics; semiconductor technology; electrical and instrument-making industry. Tin anode is very popular for anti-corrosion protection. It is most often used in metallurgy for electroplating, where a layer of tin is applied to the surface of metal products using an electrochemical method. Tin anode is also used in radio electronics in the production of printed circuit boards.
