Expanded metal flooring SERRATED–420/40 (40x420x3000)–2 al AD1 - is a metal sheet subjected to mechanical stretching and punching, resulting in a rigid lattice structure. Thanks to this technology, it combines high strength and low weight, which makes it popular in the energy, construction and industry sectors. It is used to construct decks, work platforms, fences, walkways and stair steps, providing free drainage of moisture and good adhesion of shoes. The material is made of carbon steel, often galvanized to protect against corrosion, which ensures a long service life of the structure even in aggressive conditions of use.

For production, sheets of aluminum alloys are used that have undergone rolling and heat treatment. A number of regular cuts are made on the sheet according to a given template. The cuts are not cut out completely - they serve to form cells. The sheet is subjected to mechanical stretching in the transverse direction: the cuts open, forming diamond-shaped or hexagonal holes. At the same time, stiffening ribs are formed. Panels of the required dimensions are made from the "mesh" fabric: edges are trimmed, folds are made, side strips are welded or riveted for reinforcement.

Chemical composition

Expanded-profile aluminum decking (PPN) is usually made from standard deformable aluminum alloys. The most commonly used alloys are the following series: AD31, AMg2, AMg3, AMg5.

Expanded metal sheeting is used for the construction of: stair steps and ramps, bridges and walkways, scaffolding and platform decking, floors, temporary decking, work platforms, decking at chemical and oil and gas industry facilities, for creating equipment maintenance platforms and pedestrian walkways on roofs.
