Brass tape L-63 1х300 mm - is a universal semi-finished product made of zinc and copper alloy, characterized by good plasticity, corrosion resistance and high strength. It is used in construction, electronics, mechanical engineering and decorative finishing. Due to its resistance to environmental influences and high conductivity, the tape is ideal for the production of seals, contacts, interior elements and heat exchangers. It is easy to cut, stamp and solder, which makes the material in demand in production.

First, copper and zinc are alloyed in a given proportion, creating the desired grade of brass. Alloying elements can also be added to the melt to improve the properties. The molten brass is poured into molds to produce ingots or blanks. The blank is then rolled at high temperature until a plate of a given thickness is obtained. Subsequent rolling at room temperature reduces the thickness and increases the strength of the material. Intermediate or final annealing relieves internal stresses and restores plasticity. The finished strip is cut to width and wound into rolls for transportation and use.

Chemical composition

The chemical composition of brass tape depends on its brand. The base is copper (Cu) and zinc, for example, L63 is a two-component brass with a zinc to copper ratio of approximately 37/63 percent.

The variety of types of brass tape and valuable properties determine its wide application possibilities. This material is used in instrumentation and mechanical engineering, for the manufacture of radiators, capacitors, relays, bearing separators, capsules, resistors, various connecting elements, and cooling tubes. It is used to make elements of decorative finishing (room decoration, signs and plaques) and furniture fittings, plumbing fixtures, small parts of simple and complex shapes. Brass tape is used for cladding and engraving.
