They are made of metal (usually galvanized steel or aluminum) using profile bending equipment, welding and painting. For production, galvanized steel rolls with a thickness of 0.5–1 mm or aluminum profiles are used. On a profile bending machine, steel or aluminum is passed through rollers, giving the sheet the shape of a lamella. The lamellas are of a standard length (usually 1.5–2 m). A rectangular frame is welded from a profile pipe (for example, 40×20 mm) — the base of the section. Guide grooves for the lamellas are installed. The lamellas are inserted into the frame at an angle (usually 30–45°). The distance between the lamellas is selected so that the view from the street is blocked, and air passes freely. The metal is ground, primed and covered with powder paint. Baking is carried out in an oven at a temperature of 180–200°C for the strength of the coating.

Chemical composition

Typically, such fences are made of galvanized steel with a polymer coating, sometimes of aluminum or combined materials. A louvered fence usually consists of: steel (Fe, C, Mn, etc.), a protective zinc layer (Zn) and a polymer coating (organic compounds), or aluminum alloys (Al, Mg, Si).
