Heat-treated, calendered geotextile, Runo K 300 1.0 m It is a strong synthetic material often used in landscape design, construction and road works. It is made of polyester or polypropylene fibers and is highly resistant to chemical influences, rotting and moisture. The main function of geotextile is to reinforce the base, filter water and separate soil layers. Thanks to its use, the durability of foundations, drainage systems and roads is improved. Geotextile prevents the mixing of crushed stone and sand, improves load distribution and reduces soil subsidence. The material is environmentally friendly, easy to install, and significantly reduces facility maintenance costs, which makes it a necessary element of modern engineering solutions.

The main thing
View by manufacturing method
Geotextiles are one of the types of geosynthetics; geofabric (woven fabric), as well as non-woven fabric, made by needle-punched, thermally bonded (calendering) or hydraulically bonded methods from polypropylene and/or polyester threads - from one endless thread (monofilament), or from scraps of 2.5-10 cm (staple). Blended fibers imply the inclusion of wool blend or cotton threads. A woven type of geotextile is a geotextile made from glass or polyester fibers. When making it from fibers, threads with a thickness of 1-3 microns are first formed, from which the fabric is then made.
Chemical composition
made of fibers of polypropylene or, sometimes, polyester, thermally fixed, with the addition of blended fibers of cotton or wool blend threads
Type by purpose
It is used in construction and geotechnics, agriculture, medicine, and household appliances. Used in the production of furniture, packaging, clothing, and hygiene products. It is used in the construction of runways, roads and railways, building foundations, and is laid under paving slabs and paving stones. Needle-punched geotextiles are used as drains and filters in addition to or instead of traditional granular materials. In medicine (disposable clothing and bed linen), thermally bonded geotextiles are used, usually two-layer or three-layer. Hygiene products (pads, tampons, diapers, sanitary napkins, etc.) usually use medical spunbond. In agriculture, needle-punched geotextiles are used to protect against weeds and birds, as well as as a covering material for greenhouses (instead of PE films designed for one season). In the furniture industry (padding of upholstered furniture and mattresses) and household appliances (filters), cheap geotextiles made from polyester or mixed staple threads are usually used. For packaging (bags for shoes, clothes, household appliances, etc.), thermally bonded geotextiles without a UV stabilizer are usually used, which is also used for winding perforated drainage pipes and making a geomembrane (as a filter).
