Prospects for the development of the ferrous metal market in Ukraine

At present, the black rolled metal market has changed to a large extent. There are many objective reasons for this, including the shutdown of many enterprises, the occupation. Also, the deficit of electric energy in certain periods, the drop in demand, and the reduction in the volume of working capital negatively affect this area. All this negatively affects the development of the relevant market, but nevertheless it remains at a decent level. Black rolled metal, as before, can be purchased in a wide variety of versions. Without it, it is difficult to imagine many areas of human activity, which has a direct impact on the growth of popularity and stable demand.

Features of the current state of the Ukrainian black rolled market

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the main indicators of foreign trade activity have declined. Previously, the metallurgical sector accounted for a significant part of exports from Ukraine. Domestic demand has also always been at a fairly high level and could change depending on the situation in the country.

At present, the development of metallurgy in Ukraine is under some question, because in many regions there are problems with the extraction of ore, its processing and the direct production of black rolled products. But still there are enterprises that are actively working in this area and are trying to constantly develop. It is thanks to them that the market is maintained in a normal state, if we take into account modern realities.

Not so long ago, when the country was constantly subject to restrictions due to problems with the energy system, many factories were forced to reduce production levels. Accordingly, now, while this problem is not acute, they begin to produce more rolled products. All this has a direct impact on the growth of the market, which increases both demand and supply.

Prospects

So far, it is difficult to say anything specific about the prospects for the development of the black rolled steel market in Ukraine, even for experts. But there are a few main points:

• Provided that the stability of the energy system is maintained, the plants will be able to fully operate and produce the required amount of black rolled products.
• An important factor is to ensure the stability of mines that extract ore for processing into metal.

In general, the country has adapted to life under war conditions, which had a positive effect on many areas of production, including black rolled products.
