Carbon plate 2,0х1000х1000 mm is a modern composite material based on carbon fiber impregnated with polymer resin. It offers high strength and low weight, resistance to corrosion, aggressive environments, and moisture, and good rigidity. Carbon sheets have an impressive service life and maintain dimensional stability despite temperature fluctuations. Their aesthetic appearance and distinctive texture make them indispensable not only in industrial applications but also in design. The material is often used in construction, aircraft manufacturing, medicine, shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, and sports equipment manufacturing, where high mechanical strength, lightness, and reliability are essential.

The main thing
View by manufacturing method
First, the material is selected. Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) is most often used as the starting material. Its fibers are oxidized and then processed at very high temperatures, resulting in durable carbon fiber. The carbon fibers are laid in a fabric or ribbon in a specific direction. The orientation of the layers determines the strength and rigidity of the resulting sheet. The fiber layers are impregnated with a polymer resin (usually epoxy), which binds the fibers together and gives them their shape. The blank is placed in a mold and subjected to pressure, sometimes in a vacuum or autoclave, to remove air and evenly distribute the resin. The material is heated to the desired temperature, at which point the resin hardens and forms a strong, monolithic sheet.
Chemical composition
The main element is carbon (C). The carbon content of fibers is typically 92–99%. Minor impurities may include nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), and hydrogen (H). Epoxy resin is most often used as a binder, the chemical composition of which includes carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), and sometimes nitrogen (N).
