First, the cellulose fibers are cleaned, sorted, and mixed with phenol-formaldehyde or other thermosetting resins. The mixture is then evenly distributed across a mold, creating the future sheet. The mold is placed under high pressure and temperature. During this stage, the resin polymerizes and the fibers are compacted. The sheet is left to cure completely. After this, the sheets are sanded, cut to standard sizes, and quality checked.

Chemical composition

The composition of fiber sheets consists of: cellulose fibers - the basis of the material, 60-90%, phenol-formaldehyde resins or other thermosetting binders - 10-40%, plasticizers, antiseptic and moisture-resistant additives and mineral fillers.
