First, high-purity PTFE powder is prepared. It is purified, dried, and, if necessary, mixed with additives to improve processability. The powder is poured into a mold and subjected to cold isostatic or press compaction. This results in a dense "briquette-like blank." The blank is then heated to approximately 360–380°C to fuse the PTFE particles into a monolith. After slow cooling, a durable block is obtained. The PTFE block is placed on a specialized machine, where it is spirally peeled off in thin layers. The film can undergo heat treatment, thickness control, and alignment, and is then wound into rolls.

Chemical composition

Fluoroplastics (fluorolones) is the technical (non-proprietary) name for fluorine-containing polymers. Fluoroplastics include polytetrafluoroethylene - fluoroplast-4, polytrifluorochloroethylene - fluoroplast-3, polyvinylidene fluoride - fluoroplast-2, as well as copolymers of ethylene fluorine derivatives with fluoroolefins, ethylene and others.

The film is used: as an insulating material for cables, windings, coils, capacitors, as a protective barrier for equipment in contact with aggressive environments, for sealing, packaging sterile products and laboratory processes, as an anti-friction gasket or separating layer, as a packaging material when a material resistant to temperatures and chemical influences is required.
