Fiberglass rod 40 mm x 1 m - is essentially a rod in the form of a "roll" of fiberglass, impregnated to give it additional properties with binder chemicals - phenol-formaldehyde and epoxy resins. GOST 12652-74 describes the properties of fiberglass and requirements for it. All manufactured structural fiberglass is divided into markings (STEF, STEF-1, STEF-U). These varieties differ in that some significant individual characteristics vary in them - for example, the density of fiberglass, its mechanical strength and electrical stability. The most dense is STEF-U fiberglass.

     breaking stress during static bending is about 350 MPa;

     operating temperature range -65…+150оС (short-term heating up to 200оС is allowed);

     the value of electrical resistance in the direction parallel to the layers is 1∙108 Ohm;

     water absorption is not more than 1%.
