Polyester APET, transparent sheet, gloss, Axpet 0,2x2050x3050 mm is a modern composite material with an unsaturated polyester resin base reinforced with fiberglass. The sheet combines lightness, strength, and resistance to chemicals, UV radiation, and moisture. This makes it widely used in construction—for greenhouses, facade cladding, roofing, and canopies—as well as in industry and transportation. The material is easy to paint and can be colored or transparent, allowing it to be used for both decorative and functional purposes.

First, a hardener (peroxide), inhibitor, plasticizers, UV stabilizers, and pigments are added to the unsaturated polyester resin. Then, a reinforcing material—fiberglass mat or fiberglass fabric—is added. After this, the sheet is formed. During manual forming, the resin is applied in layers to the mold, alternating with fiberglass fabric. During machine forming, the resin and fiberglass are fed onto a moving film, then passed through calenders and a drying tunnel. The resin then hardens under heat (around 100°C) or at room temperature. The finished sheet is cut to size and sometimes coated with a protective varnish or an anti-UV layer if the material is intended for outdoor use.

This material is based on unsaturated polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass or other fillers. This composite material consists of an organic polymer matrix and reinforcing fillers.

It is also used as translucent inserts in roofs and facades of industrial buildings, as well as for wall and partition cladding. It is used to make body paneling, panels, and decorative elements.
