Alpha FS phenolic resin, 25 kg, wholesale is a high-strength material created from thermosetting polymer resins with reinforcing fillers. Epoxy, vinyl ester, phenolic, or polyester resins, which solidify upon curing, are often used as binders. Aramid carbon and glass fibers or mineral fillers serve as reinforcing components. These materials are characterized by high heat resistance, mechanical strength, and corrosion and chemical resistance. The material is often used in construction, shipbuilding, aircraft manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and the power industry to create components operating under high temperatures and loads.
The main thing
View by manufacturing method
It is produced by combining a thermosetting resin with a reinforcing filler and then curing it. First, the resin system is prepared: the resin is mixed with a hardener, accelerators, and additives. Then, the reinforcing material (fiberglass, carbon fiber, roving, or mat) is impregnated with the resin manually, using infusion, winding, or pressing. After molding, the blank is maintained at a specific temperature and pressure, resulting in a chemical polymerization reaction. The resin irreversibly hardens, forming a strong three-dimensional structure. After curing is complete, the product is cooled and, if necessary, machined.
Chemical composition
The chemical composition includes a polymer binder and reinforcing components. Thermosetting resins are used as binders: epoxy resins (based on epichlorohydrin and bisphenol-A), polyester and vinyl ester resins (derivatives of polybasic acids and polyhydric alcohols), and phenolic resins (phenol and formaldehyde). Hardeners and catalysts—amines, anhydrides, and peroxides—are used to initiate curing. The reinforcing component consists of glass fibers based on silicon dioxide, carbon fibers, and aramid polymers. Fillers, stabilizers, plasticizers, and pigments are also added.
Type by purpose
It is used in industries requiring high strength, low weight, and resistance to external influences. In aircraft and space technology, it is used to manufacture fuselage components, skins, panels, and load-bearing parts. In shipbuilding, the material is used for boat and yacht hulls, pipes, and tanks. In construction, it is used for reinforcing elements, facade panels, bridge structures, and building reinforcement. In mechanical engineering and the power industry, thermosetting plastics are used to manufacture equipment housings, insulation components, and wind turbine blades. The material is also widely used in the automotive and chemical industries.
