Glass varnish fabric LSK 0,3х1250 mm is a durable electrical insulating material made from cotton or fiberglass fabric impregnated with special thermosetting varnishes. This combination provides excellent resistance to electrical stress and temperature, flexibility, and high mechanical strength. Varnished fabric is widely used in transformers, electrical machines, apparatus, and generators, where it is used to insulate interlayer spacers, windings, and wires. The material provides reliable protection, is resistant to aging, and retains its shape.
The main thing
View by manufacturing method
First, a cotton or fiberglass base is used for the fabric. It is cleaned, dried, and wound onto process rolls. The fabric passes through a bath of thermosetting electrical insulating varnish. The varnish is evenly absorbed into the fibers. The fabric passes through rollers, which smooth the varnish layer and remove excess. The fabric enters drying chambers, where, at a controlled temperature, the varnish partially or completely polymerizes, turning into a strong binder. To achieve a smooth surface and the desired thickness, the fabric is passed through calenders. The finished varnished fabric is cut into rolls of the required width and hermetically sealed.
Chemical composition
The fabric base of varnished fabric can be divided into several types: cotton; nylon; silk; glass (fiberglass). There is a wide variety of varnishes and impregnating compositions for varnished fabrics: oil, oil-bitumen, silicone varnishes (enamels), various solutions of silicone organic rubbers, etc.
Type by purpose
The areas of application of varnished fabric are instrument and mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, electrical engineering: that is, all areas of industry where flexible and thin electrical insulating material may be required. Conductive elements are insulated using paintwork materials; it is used to perform interturn insulation, slot insulation, and also insulation of the frontal parts of the windings. Due to its flexible properties, lacquer coating fabric is used in electrical devices that have heat resistance class A (105 C). In addition, this material is indispensable in low voltage mechanisms. Lacquered fabric is used to create electrical insulating layers if it is expected that the mechanism will be used for a long time
