Fire hose 77 mm (K) DSTU 3810-98 pressure hose made of nylon thread with waterproofing made of elastic polymers according to DSTU 3810-98 are intended for completing portable motor pumps, as well as cabinets of internal fire hydrants in residential buildings, children's and medical institutions, offices, banks, etc. .d.

The fire hose is designed to supply water (or a foaming agent solution, in the case of supply from a fire truck) to the source of ignition for localization and subsequent fire extinguishing. Fire hoses are equipped with GRN type quick-release connectors for quick connection to a water source and connecting hoses to each other. Latex fire hoses are suitable for operation in any climatic conditions at temperatures from -40°С to +40°С. Compared to rubberized sleeves, latex sleeves have higher strength and elasticity.

Depending on the field of application, pressure fire hoses are divided into two types:

- hose for fire hydrants type K working pressure 10 ATM, burst pressure 25 ATM

- hose for fire fighting equipment type T (fire engines, motor pumps), working pressure 16 ATM, burst pressure 40 ATM

Coil length 20 m

Inner diameter mm 50 66 77 100 150

Fire hoses are made of tarpaulin impregnated with a special composition or synthetic fabric and are designed for a working pressure of at least 1.0 MPa.

To improve water resistance, strength and protection against aggressive environments (petroleum products, acids, high and low temperatures), fire hoses can have a rubber or polymer coating on the inside and metal reinforcement (braid) or a polymer coating on the outside.

For connection to fire devices (hydrants, branches, hydraulic elevators, foam generators, fire nozzles, etc.) and interconnection (for supplying water to a distance exceeding the length of the hose), they have standard metal connecting heads of a rotary circuit. Head diameters and configurations may vary from country to country and for different types of fire fighting equipment.

At present, the use of Rott half-nuts is prohibited, but the Bogdanov-Rott adapter head is registered in the table of position for fire tankers.

All connection heads have one shaped rubber sealing gasket. When two connecting heads are jointly connected to each other, both rubber sealing gaskets of the two heads are supported (expanded) under liquid pressure, thereby sealing the connection. In addition, there is no possibility of spontaneous disconnection of the connecting heads.

Connecting suction heads are structurally different from pressure ones due to the fact that the pressure hose works under pressure, and the suction one works under vacuum.

According to the place of application, fire hoses are divided into:

suction - usually hard, used to draw water from a source using a fire pump; standard length - 4 m, inner diameter - 75, 100 or 125 mm.

pressure-suction - as a rule, soft, used to extract water from a source using a fire pump; standard length - 4 m, inner diameter - 75, 100 or 125 mm.

pressure - flexible, used to transport water under excessive pressure; standard length - 15, 18.5 or 20 m, inner diameter (depending on type and material) - 25, 38, 51, 66, 77, 89, 150 mm. The most commonly used hoses are 51, 66 and 77 mm in diameter.

Fire hoses are mandatory fire-fighting equipment of public buildings, are included in the equipment of fire trucks, trains and ships. For ease of placement and use, they are stored in a folded form (most often - in coils or wound on coils, less often - folded "accordion"). After use, fire hoses must be dried, and during the service life they must be periodically straightened and checked for the preservation of their basic properties - strength and tightness.

In accordance with GOST R 53271-2009, when working with fire hoses, the following requirements must be met:

Fire hoses should be simple and easy to use. This does not require special knowledge and skills. Just the instruction manual is enough.

The percentage of shrinkage of composite materials used for the production of sleeves after drying from getting wet should be no more than 5%.

Bright colors should be used to cover the outer layer of the pipeline.

If the size of the inlet in the sleeve is 1600 mm, then the ratio of its length to width must be no more than 1.55.

The weight of the pipeline should not exceed 25 kg per person

The elastic sleeve must not deform more than 15% in the transverse direction.

The heat reflective sleeve may catch fire. The time during which this process will take place should not be less than 15 seconds.

With a heat flux with a density of 14 kW/m2, the percentage of attenuation of infrared radiation in the material of the heat-reflecting sleeve must be at least 70.

The power frame of the pipeline must be at least 800 mm wide.

Width differencenah fireproof sleeve and load-bearing frame should not exceed 30 mm.

Service life of sleeves

With proper use, sleeves can last up to 5 years. The warranty period is 3.5 years. The service life of the product may be longer if it is not damaged. In order to determine this, regular checks are carried out. With the help of special devices and pumps, the tightness of the product is checked. If it passes the test, then it continues to be used. However, even if the hose has no technical damage, it cannot be used for more than 10 years.

In the event that fire hoses are not used due to technical malfunctions or exceeding their service life, they are subject to write-off.

Purpose

Serves for supply of water and other fire-extinguishing means to the place of ignition under high excess pressure. It is he who is used in fire engines and cranes. Works exclusively under pressure. Unlike the two previous types, it has smaller dimensions, light weight and increased elasticity.

Design and dimensions

The design of the pressure hose consists of three layers: special impregnation on the outside, rubber or other polymers inside and a reinforcing frame made of woven natural or chemical fibers.
