Cold-rolled steel coil 1.2x1000 mm steel 08kp/ps 1-3kp/ps 08Yu is a material in demand in the construction industry, in architecture, automotive, machine tool building, decoration, etc. It is used not only as an intermediate raw material, but also as an independent building material.

The production of cold rolled coil is based on the cold rolling method. Its raw material is a hot-rolled coil, which has previously passed the pickling line for descaling. Cold-rolled steel coil is produced with a thickness of 0.3 - 3.5 mm, the usual coil weight is 6-10 tons, the standard width is 1250 mm.

The production of hot-rolled coil involves the use of two different types of steel - ordinary general purpose and high-quality carbon steel. Accordingly: low-alloyed and high-alloyed.

The production of this material is carried out on sheet-rolling mills using the hot rolling method with further winding into a roll, in compliance with all state standards. An important, one might say the main, characteristic of a hot-rolled steel coil is the rolling accuracy, which is divided into two categories: increased (A), normal ( B).

A steel roll 4–8 mm thick can be used for the manufacture of reinforcement intended for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures and products. Material with a thickness of 2-4 mm is used for the production of greasy hot-rolled strips, from which various meshes are made, corners, which are an auxiliary material in the manufacture of corrugated board, metal siding, wall and roof sandwich panels. What kind of hot-rolled coil you need to buy is decided in each case.

Cold-rolled coil is widely used in various industries:

construction (roof installation, ventilation systems, all kinds of fences, corrugated board, interior decoration, etc.),

automotive (bodies),

production of household appliances (manufacturing of housings for refrigerators, gas stoves, washing machines, etc.).

The EN 10268 standard applies to cold rolled high yield steel cold formed flat products with a thickness of 3 mm or less. Such products are supplied in the form of sheets, wide strips, longitudinally cut wide and narrow strips, as well as measured lengths cut from longitudinally cut strips and sheets. The normative document applies to the following types of steels with different chemical composition and a set of mechanical properties:

B - steels after heat strengthening (HC180B, HC220B, HC260B, HC300B), showing a certain increase in the nominal yield strength after heating them around 170 ° C for 20 minutes.

LA - low-alloyed / micro-alloyed steels (HC260LA, HC300LA, HC340LA, HC380LA, HC420LA, HC460LA, HC500LA), which include one or more alloying elements, such as niobium, vanadium and titanium, to achieve the required conditional level.

Y - steels without interference atoms (HC180Y, HC220Y, HC260Y), the composition of which is controlled in order to improve the degree of plastic deformation r and strain hardening n.

I - isotropic steels (HC220I, HC260I, HC300I) with a moderate plastic deformation index r.

The cold-rolled coil is delivered in the condition after being passed through the skin-pass mill. As a rule, rolled products are shipped in an oiled state, in which case corrosion protection is applied on both sides in the form of a uniform ball of neutral, non-drying oil without impurities, so that corrosion cannot occur during normal packaging, transportation, loading and storage for 3 months. The oil ball must be removed using alkaline solutions or common solvents. Cold rolled steel is supplied in surface quality A or B as defined in EN 1030, with the exception of grades LA where only surface quality A is applied and/or organic and other coatings. If such coverage is required, it must be specified in the inquiry and order. Dimensional and shape tolerances for products rolled to widths ≥ 600 mm are in accordance with EN 10131; and for products rolled to a width of <600 mm, EN 10140.

In accordance with the European standard EN 10209, cold-rolled coiled products are produced from low-carbon steel grades DC01EK, DC04EK, DC06EK, DC03ED, DC04ED, DC06ED for vitreous enameling with a rolling width of 600 mm and more thickness. them by cutting a loose wide strip or sheet. The standard determines the key requirements for the chemical composition, level of mechanical properties, surface quality and types of its processing, test methods for cold rolls. Dimensional and shape tolerances for such cold rolled steel are given in EN 10131.

Cold-rolled rolled products according to the standards of Ukraine and the CIS.

On the territory of Ukraine and the CIS countries, the main standards for cold-rolled steel in coils are:

DSTU 2834 and its analogue GOST 16523 apply to rolled products made of carbon steel of high quality and ordinary quality for general purposes, which are manufactured500 mm wide and more, up to 3.9 mm thick inclusive. According to the minimum value of the tensile strength, steels are divided into strength groups K260V, K270V, OK300V, K310V, K330V, K350V, OK360V, OK370V, K390V, OK400V, K490V; according to the quality of surface treatment - into groups I (especially high processing), II (high processing), III (increased processing); according to the ability to draw - for hire for deep drawing (D) and normal drawing (N). The range of these cold-rolled products must meet the requirements of GOST 19904.

GOST 9045 establishes requirements for rolled thin-sheet cold-rolled from low-carbon quality steel for cold stamping with a thickness of up to 3.9 mm. Products are distributed according to standardized characteristics into categories 1-5, according to the quality of surface treatment - into groups I (especially high processing), II (high processing), III (increased processing); according to the ability to extract (rolled products up to 2 mm) - very complex (VOCB, VOCB-T), especially complex (OSV), complex (CB), fairly deep (VG). The assortment of such cold-rolled products must meet the requirements of GOST 19904.

GOST 17066 describes the technical conditions for thin-sheet rolled products with a thickness of 0.5 to 3.9 mm and a width of at least 500 mm from high-strength steel produced in sheets and coils. Rolled products are manufactured in strength classes 295, 315, 345, 355, 390. Cold-rolled steel must also comply with GOST 19904 in terms of shape, dimensions and maximum deviations.

Production of cold rolled steel coils

A semi-finished product for the production of cold-rolled coils is hot-rolled coil. At the first stage, the rolled steel is digested in acid and washed in continuous pickling units in order to remove scale and contaminants from the surface of the strip.

Then the coils go to continuous and reverse states of cold rolling, where, without preheating, they are subjected to plastic deformation until the cross section of the cold rolled coil meets the requirements of the order. At the same time, under the influence of external deformation forces, the structure and, accordingly, the properties of steel change (this effect is called slander or bells and whistles). The structure of work-hardened metal is characterized by the predominant orientation of crystals (texture) in the direction of rolling. Slander is accompanied by an increase in strength and rigidity and a decrease in ductility and toughness, while the level of these qualities may differ over the cross section of the steel coil. Therefore, most of the commodity cold-rolled coiled steel, and after leaving the rolling unit, is subjected to heat treatment - annealing - in bell-type furnaces or on continuous lines.

At the final stage of production, annealed cold-rolled steel in coils is delivered to rewinding, skin-pass and straightening units, slitting and cross-cutting lines, goes through the stages of acceptance and packaging, after which the cold-rolled coil is placed in the finished product warehouse with subsequent shipment to consumers.

Today, the following main trends in the production of cold-rolled steel in coils can be identified:

construction of modern continuous states with 6-7 stands, rolling speed up to 50 m/s and coil weight up to 60 tons;

use of rigid stands with half-bent rolls;

a high degree of automation of the production line - the use of sensors for automatic adjustment of tension, thickness and strip width on the mills;

use of continuous heat treatment lines of vertical or horizontal type.
