Decorative twisted pipe 42х2,8х3000 mm is a metal product with a distinctive helical shape created by hot or cold twisting the blank around its longitudinal axis. It combines the distinctive appearance and strength of a standard pipe, making it a sought-after element in design and architecture. These pipes are most often made of low-alloy or carbon steel, and less commonly, aluminum or stainless steel. Decorative twisted pipe is particularly popular in interior structures, balconies, gates, fences, railings, furniture, and stairs. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, it maintains durability, resistance to mechanical stress, and load-bearing properties, especially when painted or coated.

The main thing
View by manufacturing method
It is manufactured using a finished metal pipe of round or profile cross-section. First, the blank is cut to the required length and heated if necessary—this is especially important for large-diameter or thick-walled pipes. Next, the pipe is fixed in a special machine or fixture, where one end is firmly secured and the other is gradually rotated around its longitudinal axis. Through uniform rotation and controlled force, the metal takes on a helical, twisted shape without damaging the structure. After twisting, the product is cooled, leveled, its geometry is checked, and the surface is cleaned if necessary. The final step is anti-corrosion treatment: priming, painting, or galvanizing.
Chemical composition
Most often, such pipes are made from general-purpose carbon steels, such as St3 or S235. They contain iron (Fe) as a base, carbon in the range of 0.14–0.22%, manganese up to 0.5–0.8%, silicon up to 0.3%, and small amounts of sulfur and phosphorus within acceptable limits. For products with increased corrosion resistance, stainless steels containing 12–18% chromium, 8–10% nickel, and low carbon content are used.
Type by purpose
It is used primarily in architecture, construction, and design due to its combination of strength and distinctive appearance. It is used in the construction of fences, stair railings, balconies, and terraces, where it serves as both a load-bearing and decorative element. It is widely used in forged and welded gates, wickets, fences, canopies, and gazebos. In interiors, twisted tubing is used to create furniture, lamps, decorative pillars, columns, and designer partitions. It is also popular in landscape design for arches, supports for climbing plants, and small architectural features. Thanks to a variety of sizes and twist pitches, the tubing easily adapts to various styles—from classic to loft and modern.
