Nickel sheet NP-2 6х250х1000 mm - is a rolled metal product made of pure nickel or its alloys. It has high corrosion resistance, especially in aggressive environments, including acids and alkalis. Due to its heat resistance, plasticity and magnetic properties, sheets are used in the petrochemical, chemical, electronic and food industries. They are used to manufacture chemical equipment, batteries, heat exchangers and parts operating at high temperatures. This material is also resistant to oxidation, which makes it indispensable for use in extreme conditions.

Material

The simple substance nickel is a ductile, malleable, silvery-white transition metal. At normal temperatures in air it becomes covered with a thin film of oxide.

Pure nickel is melted in induction or vacuum furnaces and cast into ingots or plates — future blanks for rolling. The blanks are heated and rolled to the required thickness on rolling mills. Hot rolling is followed by cold rolling, which increases the accuracy of dimensions and improves the surface quality. After rolling, the sheets are heat treated to relieve internal stress and increase plasticity. Finished sheets are etched, ground, cut to size and tested for compliance with technical requirements.
