Polyester product standards

Polyester sheet standards:

ISO 12086 - Thermoplastic polyester materials. This standard regulates raw material procurement requirements, test methods, designations, physical properties, material classification, and marking systems.

ISO 527 - Standard defines tensile testing methods for plastics. It establishes procedures for measuring mechanical properties such as modulus of elasticity, strength, and elongation at break. The properties measured include yield stress, modulus of elasticity, elongation at break, and tensile strength.

ISO 178 is a standard that establishes a test method for determining the flexural properties of plastics. It describes a three-point bending procedure for obtaining values for the flexural modulus, strain, and stress, widely used to evaluate the strength and stiffness of materials.

The main standard for polyester tubing:

ISO 1043-1 defines a uniform international designation system for plastics, including polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyesters. It is used by manufacturers of tubing, sheets, and rods to identify the material and its modifications.

The main standard for polyester rods:

ISO 10350 establishes a uniform procedure for the presentation and definition of the fundamental mechanical, physical, electrical, and thermal properties of plastics, including polyesters. It regulates: quality control, labeling, electrical properties, thermal properties, impact strength, mechanical and physical properties.
