Dielectric bots GOST 13385-78 are individual insulating protective equipment that prevents the flow of electric current through the human body. Dielectric bots are used as additional protective equipment (PPE) during repair and maintenance in electrical installations with various voltages (both up to 1000 V and above).

        Dielectric rubber boots consist of a rubber upper part (have a lapel) and a grooved sole, as well as internal parts and a textile lining. Height is not less than 160 mm. Like other means of protection against current, dielectric shoes are allowed for use only if there are no mechanical damages, defects in the form of inclusion of bubbles, inclusions of foreign particles, delamination of the material, severe pollution or high humidity. Before using this type of protective equipment, it is necessary to check the expiration date and the date of the last tests.

CHARACTERISTIC AND APPLICATION OF DIELECTRIC BOTS

• Purpose: the main (at a current in electrical installations up to 1 kV) and additional (at a current in electrical installations above 1 kV) means of protecting personnel from electric shock when working in electrical installations.

• Coefficient of frost resistance at a temperature of 30 C: 0.86

• Dielectric properties - at a voltage of 9.0 (- / + 0.2) kV alternating current with a frequency of 50 (- / + 1) Hz operating for 60 (- / + 1) sec.

• Leakage current does not exceed 7.5 mA

• Used at temperatures from -30C to + 50C

• Test voltage 20kV
