ISO 527 - Definition of a method for measuring the mechanical properties of plastics under uniaxial tension. This standard specifies the strain at failure, elongation at break, modulus of elasticity, tensile strength, elongation at break, and elongation at maximum load, calculation methods, test speeds, and specimen geometry.
ISO 178 - Determination of flexural properties. This standard specifies a method for testing plastics in a three-point bend test. It determines the material's behavior under load, modulus of elasticity, strength, and flexural strain. This test is used to evaluate compliance with specifications, manufacturing process quality, component load-bearing capacity, bending resistance, and material stiffness.
ISO 604 - Compressive strength. This standard specifies a method for determining the mechanical properties of plastics under axial compressive load. This standard measures compressive strain, compressive modulus of elasticity, compressive strength, material behavior under load, strain, and stress at a specified strain. It is used for: semi-finished products in the form of rods, plates and sheets, composites, engineering plastics, thermosetting plastics, thermoplastics.
